Phalanopsis Roots

Hello again. Thank you for all of your helpful information regarding my Dendrobium. But I have a problem with my Phalaenopsis. It needs repotting but its roots have grown very long out of its current pot. I am fearful that the new pot might break them. I will post a picture.

Once you soak the plant, the roots will get softer, and easier to report without breaking. But, some will break...and it'll be OK. Also, you don't have to get them all in the pot...phals are quite happy with some air roots.

Just about 10 to 30 minutes then gently you pull it, later you can adjust to the new pot accordingly.Zain

I usually soak mine 30 minutes or so. And really, don't worry if some break...they are tougher than you'd guess!

Also, if they want to stick to the clay pot, you can just break the pot and leave those bits of pottery attached to the roots in the new container.
