    did with the soaking but did not go to the banging part i will leave the damaging the root part option to the last in the list,

    for seedlings i planted them in 90% charcoal and 10% moss. after that i mount them on fern roots. caring is pretty much like other phals i had. so far gigantea are easy to care for and hardy for me. they love to be mounted on fern roots, in fact most phals do.
