Degarmoara Winter Wonderland 'White Fairy'

This was another impulse purchase. It was so cheap, I couldn't resist. The problem is, it's huge. As happens every summer, I buy stuff when I have plants outside and then come October when they come in I have no room! Here are photos are of the entire plant hanging in the living room and a close-up of a flower. It has four spikes, each at various stages, so I'm guessing it will be in bloom all Fall. Degarmoara (Dgmra) is a trigeneric hybrid genera composed of the genera Brassia x Miltonia x Odontoglossum. The grex Winter Wonderland is Miltassia Cartagena x Odontoglossum Gledlow (according to google.) Hope you enjoy the photos, and have a great day! - ME

Very healthy and nice looking to boot! No wonder you could not pass it by What is you very large leaved tropical on the left, above your "snake" plant? That is an impressive one.

That looks like a nice healthy plant! I know how it feels when orchids "force" you to buy them by being irresistable, lol !

That is a Bird of Paradise, the white form. I've had it since 1995...made its way from Florida to Wisconsin on a truck where I bought it. It's moved with me from WI, to IA, and now to MN. It's done better since my last move when it got more light. I recently had to move it downstairs from the 8 foot to the 9 foot ceilings, and before long it is going to outgrow the 9 feet as well. Guess I'd better find a new place with 10 ft. ceilings fast! I only wish it would bloom! They're notorious for not blooming until they're old and very root bound, which mine is both, so I'm guessing the problem is not enough light.

This is one of those plants that have been on my wishlist since forever and I cannot find em... so, you did good Matt-e! And very healthy looking plant too... I'm with Gin... that looks like a nice specimen.

Wow! That is some plant. I had no idea how big they get.
Guess you'll have to buy a greenhouse for it

That *is* a huge plant Matt, and I'm with the other folks here: don't divide it! They're easy to grow and they'll put on an awesome show for you if you keep them in a big clump like that!
