Sure you can.
I never really believed in the need for bloom-booster fertilizer. My bottles were empty and as many friends, I turned to this new fertilizer available in Europe.

I did'nt heard about that with MSU fertilizer. My friend Denis who has more than 1,000 Cattleya (almost exclusively species), uses the MSU type fertilizer since 2 years without any problem.
By cons, such problems with flowers are described when using Superthrive or some pesticides such as thiamethoxam... I read it several times and I think it's true from my own experience.
