Paul, it can be tricky mainly because it is so tiny...plant and spikes rot easily if the condition is too wet or dry.

What a great flower! Of course, as usual, your terrific photography makes it stand out as if it were 7 inches wide. The fact that it's so tiny - and the 2nd photo deftly captures the proportions - makes it all the more fascinating.

Maura, tiny is indeed the operative word for this one. Tom's most wonderful macro shots are, as you mentioned, are deceptive with regards to its size. Each pseudobulb is only about 4 or 5 millimeters in diameter.
