Hi Betty,
Thanks for the advice. Turns out removing the dead roots and bulbs wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. While I was trying to find a gap to cut through and separate the dead bulb, it sorta gave way and to my surprise I managed to pull it off and it separated neatly along with all the dead roots. Had very little trimming to do on the roots of the live bulb. I couldn't get horticultural sulphur and was hesitant to use the fungicide the guy at the store recommended (I have a cat that is curious about everything) so decided to try the hydrogen peroxide dip first. Anyway, it's got just a handful of healthy looking roots but I'm much more hopeful now.
Can I bother you with a few more questions? How often do you water? Do you let it dry out (like dendrobium orchids)? Do I start watering right away or should I leave it alone for a while? Do I water lightly (mist) or drench it? I usually take my dendrobium orchids to the bathroom and turn on the shower. They're still alive despite my efforts to kill them
Thanks again and Happy New Year!
