I have a plant of this, not yet flowered , bought after finding it on a list and looking at IOSPE. I see that Jay gives the meaning of the name as "the insect bearing Pelatantheria" although the usual way these things work I would have thought that " the Pelatantheria which looks like an insect" would be more accurate definition. But I wonder what old Reichenbach senior ( the naming botanist) had in mind ? I can't see the faintest resemblance to any insect, anywhere !
