Green Tree Frog

You guys! I have been really inspired by all this. I used to keep these very frogs and anolis lizards when I was a student. I rarely let the frogs out of their vivarium because they were a bit hard to control, but the anoles were out almost every day: they were tame and did not mind at all being handled. Lovely, lovely creatures. Now I am thinking : why not have some anoles permanently resident in the conservatory- there is always a ready supply of insects: the spiders can't keep up. If I do get some residents, maybe I ought to be prepared to release some crickets from time to time... hmm... this needs more thought!

Love these guys. Where I used to live I had Spring Peepers that would come out and lay eggs in my ponds. They sounded like heaven in the spring. I missed them so much when I moved that a friend bought me a Swarovski crystal tree frog. It was a wonderful present but I can't get it to peep. In Puerto Rico the little tree frog called Coqui (from the sound it makes) sings all night long, they are tiny little things but make a real concert every night.
I keep toads in a vivarium but they don't sing for me. I think they need a girlfriend.

Duh, I remember now why I don't keep such critters free in the conzie: because they may escape out of open vents. London is simply too nippy for anoles and tree frogs. What am i like? I feel such a fool: what a shame-up! I can't blame all you good folks if you think that I definitely should not be left alone with sharp objects. I shall stick with plants and fishes. O well- it was a lovely (if deranged) dream!

i'm shaking from your frog guy.i love the real frog but hate this 2 types,this green one and another brown one.this 2 kindes can jump really high .the reason i hate is from the long and sticky finger.sorry about this

Hey Don! I now have just the one 1 metre tank whose main occupants are five great big angels (Pterophyllum) which I have since they were fry. Sharing the tank are some lesser tiger barbs (Puntius pentazona), x-ray tetras, cardinal tetras, and a golden sucking loach which is everyone's favorite... these are always entertaining and idiosyncratic- and they go in for heavy construction too; never a dull moment. By the way lesser tiger barbs are so much nicer than the more usual P tetrazona- slightly smaller but they retain their elegant shape and are totally peaceful. For some reason I have always been drawn to fish with vertical stripes.

What do you keep? Some glamourous critters like Discus, I bet!

Hi Kitty! Isn't it funny how something one person finds repulsive is just what someone else finds attractive? I can imagine how it may be alarming when these frogs suddenly leap off at the speed of light, but I find that really cool! Also I think they are so cute with the sucker-pads at the end of each digit... it's so sci-fi! But then I am a little eccentric I guess! Take care now.
