Is it usual for these to respike from previously bloomed canes ?
Only had this for about 6 months but it wasn,t in bloom when i got it .Put it into s/h & the new cane has grown exceptionally fast.
It,s not just 1 cane that is respiking but 2 !
I can see where there has been spikes before.
Oh yes on another note my Den nobile var albiflorum has got flower spurs starting !

Never grown that one, but if it's a Den Phal, many do rebloom on old canes. Sounds like yours is doing awesome!

Are your dendrobiums in the greenhouse now or did you bring them inside already?

Still in the g/h for now but i think i,ll be moving stuff inside soon as sunny days are getting few & far between.I,ll leave some 'chids out longer & move my Cymbidiums into the g/h.

I've got one huge Cymbid that didn't bloom last year because I brought it in too soon.

This year, the iceman cometh, you better believe! No more pussyfooting around with that sucker.

Dendrobium Emma "Gold' is a mixture of Den kingianum and Den speciosum both of which are capable of reflowering on old pseudobulbs, so yes, this is normal. Pls don't cut them off till they have withered and gone brown or you will lose future flowers.
