I think I successfully pollinated the flower. The flower itself completely turned to WHITE when I checked the plant this evening.
The pollen was from one of the hybrids - V. bensonii x V. pumila.

Looks quite lovely as a white. I'm very surprised as to its color change.

That is very interesting to know. Most probably it is to deter insect pollinators, as the flower changes the color, the pollinating insects do not find it attractive.
ha! I was in the shadehouse and I have a coerulea hybrid with a flower turning white. I will send you a photo Naoki.
Now what? I have no idea as to what to do with it.
