    Gurjeet, I cannot help the ID on your phal, but I like the idea of your partner giving you a beautiful orchid.

    I, however, am thinking of giving my parther a rather BIG Vanda orchid, which I then end up keeping.

    You cheeky! I was exactly like you. For anyone's Birthday I used to get a plant and end up keeping it. My siblings actually stopped expecting something and gave up long back.
