Default Spikes or bulbs on my Onc?

Having never grown an oncidium, causes me to be unsure as to what the heck these are? Help, please.

hmmmmmmm...HMMMMMMM...lol.... its a new growth... Spikes on oncidium alliance come from the base of the pseudobulb, yes, but from within the bract of the leaf closest to the bulbs on either side....you will know the difference as soon as you see it cause the spike will peep its head from the leaf bract, being about mid bulb height before you see anything ...still a good thing tho

    Andrew said it,
The spike comes out in the bulb and a new growth usually comes out the outside, although sometimes the new growth comes out on the side of the bulb by the leaf, sorry, not very clear, hope this helps!

Great pic of the new growth and spike. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words... New growth is usually followed by spiking. Hang in there....
