Pat has a large collection of really vintage crosses. She was very generous and brought me an old division of C. Horace 'Maxima', AM/AOS.
Pat ....it is in spike and almost ready to bloom! Thank you for the plant.

Talking of vintage cattelyas. I wonder if Pat or other members still have those truly fab Blc Norman's Bay particularly the varieties 'Low', 'Lucille' and 'Hercules', It would be extremely difficult for the modern day dark lavenders to compete with these old-timers.

I have the BLC Norman's Bay 'Low' here. A beauty for certain.

It seems to bloom every fall, Yew Sung. I don't know if it is blooming currently or not, but will check when I can. I watered in there on Saturday, but didn't really look at any tags.

Thanks Bruce for the picture. I see it was posted before I joined OT.So it is now a Rsc. Blc Norman's Bay 'Lucille' also a FCC is lighter in color but with a much better form.
