    Default Neo. falcata x Paraphalaenopsis serpentilingua - Help

    Does anyone have a clue as to how to bloom this plant? Is is large enough to bloom?
    This plant is growing out with the Vandas. So much light, fertilizer and water. I'm not good at blooming Neos. They grow but seldom bloom. Any help would be appreciated

    I know just the exact thing to do, just wrap it in paper and send it to an address I tell you. I am sure it will bloom there LOL ! Hehe I am quite new with Neo hybrids, just got a couple at the WOC.

    Cathy,

    Let this little guy dry completely out. Also increase the amount of light it gets. We grow ours up high in the greenhouse so they get lots of light. Others will tell you to keep them moist, but I let mine go completely dry and it blooms and blooms. I have several different neo falcata crosses. All are high light loving plants. And unless that photo is an optical illusion, that plant is plenty large enough to bloom. Our little Neo cross 'bluebird' is tiny compared to the one you posted and it is blooming. Good luck.

    Laughing in Florida

    It is a pretty large plant, Bruce. The Neos that I have are tiny compared to this one. I've read that Paraphalaenopsis is a short day plant. I just don't know what happens when you throw the falcata into the mix.
    I have several straight Neos. I'm going to try letting them all dry out.

    I cannot give an advise as to how to grow, but I can see there are two plants.
