Thanks cakedaddy, I think I may have some spider mites... i wiped the underside of the leaf with a damp tissue and saw a few reddish looking specs on the white tissue. I've search spider mites and saw many other pictures and they seem consistent.

What's the best way to get rid of them? I've read dishwashing liquid, vegetable oil and alcohol? Do you mix all three with water and wipe the leaves down?

Also, do these spider mites affect humans? A little worried as this is an indoor plant on our coffee table.
