    Default New additions to my collection

    Hey everyone...It's been a while so I'd like to share some new additions to my collection

    My brother was recently in Hawaii and went to an orchid nursery. Nice enough to buy me three! I was able to have shipped back to me:

    1. Oncidium Sharry Baby "Sweet Fragrance" (love this one! It smells so wonderful! It was in bud when it arrived...total of 37 flowers now in bloom)
    2. Dtps. Ganling Fairy "Sunflower"
    3. NOID Dendrobium....green petals and purple lip that looks like veins when you shine a light through it.

    I couldn't get enough so I bought three more for myself for Valentine's Day - hehe.

    4. Dendrobium Victoria Reginae - Royal Blue AM x Blues Brothers
    5. Dtps. Fire Cracker Blue
    6. Dendrobium Finlyanum var oculatum x sib

    I did end up going to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand last November but did not get to see orchids in the wild. I ended up buying at the Thai Airport duty free a Blue vanda, V. SomSri Delight x V. Coerulea, in flask. I count five plants in there and all are still looking healthy.

    I guess I'm into blue orchids at the moment. My paph spicerianum had two buds before I left for SE Asia but I came back and they were blasted Family forgot to water them but that's ok, the plant is still alive.

    Sounds like some nice additions. Bummer about losing the paph buds though.

    I'll get some photos up in a few days

    I searched the forums on culture information for the dendrobiums and I'm confused as to the types I have. Do I just look at the canes? What am I looking for, haha?

    i'm also the one who fell in love with the blue and one of my plan when i go to thailand is to hunt for the blue vanda..
