Anyone growing this type of orchid? What I got is Cochleanthes discolor x amazonica. I have read some info about the two species but would love to hear from other growers about their experience in growing this type of plant.

Does it tolerate some direct morning sun? How cold is too cold for this plant? Because it has no pbs, I assume it has no rest period, yes? Mine just finished blooming,( I got it when the single bloom was already past its prime, so can't post a photo of the flower) now what? Its in a 3" pot with sphag (not my kind of medium) is it wise to re-pot now? I appreciate any tips, TIA.

I bought a Cochleanthes amazonica couple years ago but it hasn't flowered still, although it has a new growth now. I was told by the supplier that root rot is a common problem of his customers. Mine is grown in a basket.

Is species available in HK? What I saw was Paph, Vanda, Palaenopsis, Dend or Cat.
