    Hi,
    I never cut the spikes on mine, it's planted in a basket & hanging looks lovely when in flower and interesting when not which is not to often. It appears to be quite a strong little species and my favourite so I've just bought another. I don't give it any specific treatment and it's grown indoors since I bought it 5 years ago

    Great me too the long spike may last more than 3 years.

    Hi

    Think of the flowers you would miss! I've just checked mine, I have 3 spikes two of them branched and they all are budding up
