Nandini, try hybrids like Sansai blue, they are very similar to the coerulea parent, and yet very easy to care for and multiple bloomers.

Amey, I have a Princess Mikasa Blue that blooms regularly and is a favourite of mine. Species have proved difficult for me though... :-(. Any tips on V. coerulea, Pune climate might be similar to Bangalore I am thinking with low humidity etc ?

I can vouch for that. I bought Sansai Blue 'Acker's Pride' FCC/AOS in late November in bud. Bloomed nicely and they lasted almost 2 months. Within a couple weeks of the first spike dying off a new spike initiated and has been in full bloom again for about the past month.
