Eric, Yours is pretty. I have a few that were seed grown. Most are named varieties crossed back to themselves so who knows what these are going look like. None of mine are in spike, as of yet? I also have a couple of large plants that bloom every year?? I think here in Florida they come in a little later, maybe?

Makes me wish I had picked up that specimen C. intermedia when I had a chance several months ago - you have certainly made the best of one bloom - pretty photograph, and again, a nice photographic display.

The color pattern on the lip is very special.
The color can be classified as suave.
Personally I never did see a C. intermedia var. suave with the striped pattern and I have seen thousands.
For this reason I don't know how to classify this variety.

Even I would keep it in my collection because it is special.

Last year the pink color of the lip was more consistent but always with stripes.
