I moved them to the window ledge last year and they hated it... 2 healthy phals quickly became sick and subsequently died. I then moved the rest to the current ledge, which is where they recovered and have settled in. One orchid, the Oncidium, hasn't really recovered. The leaves still have brown on them, no new leaves. See picture from previous post.
1. So I am worried about moving them back to the window, especially the Oncidium. I'll try moving it during the day and back at night.... are they ok being moved regularly?
2. Can different orchids, of the same variety, have different light requirememnts? The reason I ask is of the 2 phals only 1 is not flowering, the other (one with the round leaves in the picture) is thriving (18 buds developing).
Also, I have never really fed them, only watered them and misted the leaves.... last year one of the phals (one with the round leaves in the picture) had a lot of buds but only a few open, the rest just fell off. Could this be becase of lack of food? I though it was water but watering/misting it more didn't help...
