    Default BLC Love Sound "Tokyo"

BLC Love Sound - Second season in bloom: the flowers are about 10% bigger than last year, 3 blooms rather than 2 and on a much longer stem... and where there was a light suggestion of fragrance, there is now a rich rose/lily aroma that fills the conservatory.

Thanks Mr Yew. As You can see, we have been playing around with different coloured backdrops this time. I was very surprised that the orange/apricot board was such a success (orange backdrop for a yellow and red flower sounds so WRONG!)

Nice to be back with my orchid friends!

Love both backdrops. Both colorus seem to bring out the colour of the blooms nicely - and don't compete with the yellow of the cattelya. I'll have to vary my backgrounds too. BTW what do you use for the backdrops?

Very pretty! The flowers are bigger and more abundant because of the excellent care you've given it. Good job.

Lovely blooms but the ID seems wrong. It looks very much like my Lc. Tokyo Magic ( Cattleya Irene Finney x Laelia breigeri). Also the description suits what you mention.

Thank you so much Amey! I am grateful for your information. The thing is I often take labels with a pinch of salt: I've even seen this one as "Tokyo Love Call!" Honest. And a shocking percentage of my collection came wrongly labelled in one way or another. What's going on you nursery guys?

Dear Mr Yew- Normaly I take the plant into the house, up the stairs, round corners, and into the back room dad uses for a small studio; here I use dad's large black textile backdrop and use studio lighting. BUT this morning I decided to use the soft natural light in the conservatory where my orchids grow. The backdrops were sheets of thin coloured card which dad has a large selection of. I shot while Myo held the backdrops. I think I shall use this method from now on- so much easier, and natural light is great, especially when filtered through white blinds. I am so glad if this has been useful to you.
