My Myrmecophila in a pot started putting out new roots as well. Also 2 pieces mounted on a piece of wood. I guess it roots when the weather is very warm with some decent humidity.

I would be careful with too much sphagnum close to the roots. I suspect the roots do not want to stay wet for long. the baskets that house specimens of this genus that I saw at the Botanic Garden appear like there is almost no media .
