Primarily the main reason for Grow Area transformation was a rather large distressing bacterial/ fungal invasion last winter and it had no mercy as symptoms and final outcomes could be observed live in action before my very eyes without any manipulation implemented.. Shocking pseudo collapse! Lesson learned if not a tad brutal in its deliverance.

While light, temperature, moisture and ambient air humidity compare equally to NPK as a macro essential, an oscillating fan should join the cultivation list as mandatory like calcium should join the NPK macro list. Underlined statement for anywhere similar that shares uk climate in winter.

I adore Brassia so much even plants hybridised with my least fav orchid miltonia are a must. Spring blooms and heavenly fragrance.

will follow up very soon with B Rex. B. Chieftain and Brassidium shooting star. A quadrilogy of arachnid beauties in synchronised bloom. wish they didnt share the characteristic Oncidinae trait with double joind leaf set above bulb. Lethal health traps and somtimes not always possible to hang/suspend pointing to the floor/ adore the prolific quantity of roots though.

hanks Cathy & Bruce. I learned to neglect brassias plus the Milt,oncidium hybrids as they never do well with cottonwool pampered care and that again is something I was guilty of doing quite alot from the earlier timeframes when i probably in the 0 - 50 orchid count. Not that much different from 'organised chaos' except its 'organised neglect' - its like Im playing mindgames with plants. Its usually suspended on a 90 ish angle out the way of the sprayed water path but its pulled that many hooks out of the ceiling ive had to resort to polyfilla for repairs. I woulldnt even start pushing this across as a cultivation rule but as with phals, brassias respond much better hung or suspended on a lean heading downwards, with phals its root quality/ quantity but with brassias its responds by generous new growth leads from psb with backbulbs not always redundant, possibly the pressure to cling on to tree as tighlty as possible ie survival or optimized situ.
