Cool Potinara Samantha Duncan 'Sweet Kiss', Rlc. Mem. Ray Hasbach and others...

I'm still dealing with construction and our heat is making things really interesting. I'm way behind on posting, but here are a few of my Cattleya in bloom. A couple arrived in bud (toshie and yellow bird), the rest are my blooms.

This first plant was given to me as a gift. My Aunt Kath has the best taste. She also chose the piece of wood to mount it on. The second picture is the closest to it's true color. It is a deep rich red velvet looking flower.

...it will take another post to add the other pics.

Really nice, Connie! That's one bar I wouldn't mind stopping by and bending my elbow, just looking at all those lovely blooms. I've got two Sam Duncan's; Paradise and Red Hot so I know how much fun they are. And yellow bird remains in my top 3 all time fav orchids . That Ray Hasback look very interesting, hmmm. May have to look for that one.
    Best,
    Tony

Thanks everyone...I'll let the 'chids know you like their performance. lol I went online to see if I could find some more of the Samantha Duncan varieties and wow! Thanks Tony i'll be finding a few more for the collection. I hadn't thought to look for other ones in that family. The small cattleya are so nice on driftwood.

    Nice looking batch of 'catts'.
I think you need to consider that Rlc. Memoria Ray Hasbach is mislabeled. Memoria Ray Hasbach is (Goldenzelle x Memoria Helen Brown), both large, full cattleya hybrids. Your plant is pretty likely a Brassavola nodosa hybrid.

I wouldn't be suprised. Where I bought it that seems to have been a problem I didn't realize back then. Oh well I bought it because of the size of the flower. I have a lot of plants with no names. I try to only buy plants with proper tags...and then I run into mislabeled plants which is very frustrating.
