Not a good day to have taken my husband out, this was the same trip as the rescue dendrobium. We were at a flea market, and passed a vendor with some orchids. I stopped and looked at this one for the sheer size of it- this is a 10" pot, with 12 pbulbs and 4 active eyes that I can see, pbulbs/ leaves are about 2 foot in height, and the single current bloom spike had 10 buds. Kept on going, very proud of myself for being so good and avoiding temptation that wasn't an antelope dendrobium. Then he nagged me- 'Want to go back by there? Want to look at that orchid again?'
So, since it was only $20, here is Blc. Tatarown. Buds all opened together yesterday. Have to watch it, all my plants are grown hard and are used to the sun- this one and the new den are saying ouch.
This one definitely wants to be a specimen- have to get a monster basket. Or even naturalize it.
