I agree with much of the above. I would like to reiterate that vandaceous hybrids are much more diverse than Phals overall by color, form, texture, presentation, and most are substantially waxy. Vandaceous hybrids include many many genera, including Phals, although Phals are genetically pretty far from many of the popularly hybridized Vanda allied genera. Many hybrids bloom 2-4 times per year. And some of those can be in bloom almost all year round.
