What more can you ask for? Fragrance that rivals almost any orchid. The fact that when they are out of bloom they still command a presence that is fabulous with all their roots tumbling around, hanging to the ground. It is pretty sexy. And then there are blooms in every hue, large and small. Factor in that most with good culture will bloom 3 to 4 times a year (many will bloom much more that that).
Yes, they require loads of attention in spraying for rot and keeping thrips at bay. I get great satisfaction fertilizing them. While watering is a never ending chore...I love to see the roots plump up and turn bright green out of appreciation.
