Here is another delightful intergeneric miniature, a primary cross of Doritis pulcherrima x Asctm miniatum. It has a spike with 2 side branches and should have about 30 blooms but thrips have destroyed the first dozen blooms or so before I could spray insecticide. The flowers are about the size of the Doritis parent and the Ascocentrum has improved the form of the flower and intensified the colour. It is not very free flowering, about 2 times a year.
