I was wondering when it would happen, but I finally saw my first keiki...on a Dendrobium kingianum.
I went to go spray it this morning, and saw something odd sticking out the side of one of the canes, and sure enough, there it was.
I LOVE the Kingianum, by the way...it is an extremely vigorous grower, and the scent is just incredible...it reminds me of hyacinths. I've already separated 2 sections off of this plant, and all 3 are growing madly. I even took one individual cane with roots and put it in its own clear plastic container, and it already has 2 other canes growing out of it. I think it's a great orchid for beginners.
Anyway, just thought I'd share this exciting new development.
