Hi all,
It's been a while since I last posted here.
Anyway, it's that time of the year here in the Philippines when our native, endemic Euanthe Sanderiana comes into bloom. In my grow area 8 of my 15 full grown plants have come into bloom. Two of my better plants have double spikes and a third has four spikes (though they are on downside and getting ready to wilt already since this was the first plant that came into spike. Of the remaining 5, three encountered aborted spikes due to the recent typhoons and constant rains that we experienced in succession. The remaining two have single spikes though one of them had flowers eaten by our common house sparrows. I still have to find a way to effectively scare or prevent those darned birds from feasting on my blooms. They are pests!
Anyway without much ado, I'd like to share some photos I've taken of my double-spiked ones (fortunately they were not touched by those nasty birds). As usual I'm not a photography expert and only have my handy old iPhone to take the photos.
So here goes ......
