Default Ascocenda Varut Fushia x Rhy. Coelestis Blue

Just received this in spike/bud last week from................you guessed it, Florida. It was hard with this to get a good photo, so I will start with this and when in full bloom I will post close up shots. Sweet fragrance. Supposed to bloom four or five times a year. AL

Love the color...and if it blooms that often I may have to find one myself! I love vanda plants that bloom every couple months!

Very very beautiful ! Waiting for the next set of photos. I think the vendor exaggerated when he/she told you that it should flower 4-5 times a year. Thrice per year would be achievable I think.

Thank You ALL for your comments! Connie, ain't it the truth! Having frequent blooms can make Vandas well worth the effort! Amey, I think your right. Even two to three times a year blooming would be very pleasing to me. Naoki, yes it's true. I am addicted and that is considering that other than orchids and what it takes to grow them, I am not a great shopper or consumer. However just like you my 'good' hanging space has a "No Vacancy" sign on it. I have a couple shelves left for somewhat lower light growers. Our friend has sold me some great Vandas. I like her much and get a kick out of talking to her! AL
