Connie, that was my thread. My plant is not umbellata and I just wanted to give my old thread an update/correction yesterday. There are many things you need to look at when you try to identify a Cadetia species, some flowers may look similar but the plants/leaves look very different.
What do you mean you could not find it on species list? It was offically described maybe just over a year ago Kew may have not listed it yet. I am pretty sure you can find photos of schuitemanii or some info on internet.
No, there is a species website I go to when i'm looking up species and that is where I saw the umbellata. The schuitemanii lacks the fuzzy things at the back of the flower where it attaches to the stem. The umbellata has those fuzzy looking things. Mine, imho, is umbellata.
If you just checked yours against the one at IOSPE, you can't be more wrong about the ID. Call it whatever you want and it probably won't make any difference here...
If you could not find info or photo of schuitemanii, how do you know Cadetia schuitemanii "lacks fuzzy things at the back of the flower..."? In fact, according the drawings of the original description of schuittemanii, there are hairs all over outside of ovary just behind the flower petals.
