Paphiopedilum NoId about to bloom

My Pahiopedilum is about to bloom. I bought it in bloom last year during the Barcelona Orchid Show. It's a NoId and has only one flower per spike, but I like it anyway. It's the first time she flowers with me, so I don't know if she flowers only once a year (I suppose so).

This other division from the same plant is also starting a sheath. It's not very good visible on the picture, but live it is very clear. I hope I can get it to grow as well.

Wow - that is going to be a large bloom. I'm surprised, actually, that it's only one bud, since the leaves and stem make me think it's got some multi-floral or sequentially-blooming paph. in its background. It almost looks light enough to have primulinum, but of course, we'll just have to wait. Don't be surprised if it takes another 3 weeks to really spread the petals and lift the dorsal sepal. Looks good!

Three more weeks? It's more than two months now, since I first saw the sheath peeping out between the leaves. We'll just have to be patient.

I'd love to have a multi-floral paph. I'm thinking about buying a Paphiopedilum dianthum. On October 12-13-14 there'll be the annual orchid show in Barcelona. If I don't find one there, I'll have to try an online shop.

Paph. dianthum is a great multifloral, but my personal favorite is lowii - there's just something about it....
