Cattleya Fire Magic 'Nora'

Cattleya Fire Magic Orchids have been robust compact growers and reliable bloomers for me. Most Fire Magic plants, I have seen, have been bold yellows and reds often with splash. The color of this plant offered something different. This is my first bloom and I am very pleased.

Beautiful colors! Small cattleyas are becoming very popular these days. Many of them bloom more than once a year and they often don't require as much light as larger catts.. Your's is very nice. I have heard that this is a popular hybrid.

Thank you for your kind comments. In a perfect world I would grow species Cattleyas and historically significant Cattleyas such as Bow Bells. These are my favorite Orchids. However, even with a sun room I have the restrictions of a windowsill hobbyist--- I simply do not have room for more than a few large Orchids. I truly appreciate the work or hybridizers who work so hard to develop mini and compact Cattleyas. These individuals make orchid growing a pleasure for individuals like me who always need to find room for "ONE MORE ORCHID"
