Okay - outdoor all year, morning sun, if it is in a basket it will dry out quickly so make sure to water it when it gets dry. Watch as the seasons change and the sun position changes that it does not get too much sun.

Sounds like your plant could be Cattleya mossiae. However, could you please post a picture of your plant? That would make the ID easier and more accurate.
