Thanks for the words of encouragement folks. I'm so mad at myself! On the upside, I got a chance to check out the roots and make sure they're still doing well (they are!) and kind of resituate the plant since it was badly leaning to one side. Now it's a bit more centered and upright. Hopefully it will put out more growths soon, it hasn't been doing much since it put up this growth - which kind of looked like it could have been a spike. It sort of halted once the growth got to a decent size. I'm still wondering why.
