---- Vendor discussion removed - see FAQs on Posting ---- I was/am happy with my little dendrobium, however. Small (which I knew from the pic and it is a true mini), but in decent shape, obviously a recent seedling which is now hitting its stride. ---- Vendor disscussion removed - see FAQs on Posting ----
I have lots of alata hybrids and a few cordigeras also, I find them temperature tolerant and easy to grow- you may be happy with that one yet. I don't have the cross with each other, but all the alatas seem the same to me- that's one dominant plant. Only thing I will say is that they are not what I'd call small growers.
Edit to say Otis- I don't know Ocala proper, but there is the Mid-Lakes Orchid Society which meets in Leesburg, if you're in SE Ocala that wouldn't be too far... and if you don't mind driving, I'd bookmark the Tampa club's website and hit their shows. There are usually spring shows here in Orlando, if you go to Daytona Beach the Volusia County club has a show Mothers Day weekend, and their website makes the St Augustine club look active.
