My Dad used to make all of us kids crazy when he insisted on taking photos of us - especially in public. My kids were great when they were young, but are now too old to be bothered (but they WILL please their mother when she insists). My Dad used to shoot slides - just beautiful, but now he has drifted down to a point-n-shoot and has lots of trouble working with the technology. I think he could do it, but he has a natural stubbornness when it comes to technology. I've only had one 35mm - a Minolta that I took all through my Junior Year Abroad - when that died, I was forced to use the instants until I finally got my Nikon D90 last year. My husband, Phillip, is a longtime, sophisticated photographer and is trying to teach me (I'm an intransigent student). I told him about your dad's collection, Igor, and his eyes dilated, glowed, and started to spin! Anyway, it's lovely to see your relationship with your father - an inspiration and very uplifting to me.
