Looks like one of the miltassia, but as far as and accurate full ID ... not likely to happen I'm afraid.

yes. oncidium care is fine. i have one that flowers every couple months. sixth spike this year is coming up now. i have a smaller one that just begun blooming for the first time. very easy plant to flower. and with good watering and enough light, they have a slight musky honey like scent. the larger one lives in a south facing window, unobstructed. bright light in summer, sun in winter, but through 70% shade cloth or thin curtains. they shoot out one spike on new young growths, then a second later when the bulb matures more on the either side. i water twice a week. fertilize once a week, weakly, with miracle grow. keep moist. let go near dry and water again. it's dry here, so once a week they soak in water in the sink for a while. my new spike has 8 buds. the bulbs are getting to be about 4" tall, but it is a new growth, so it could be even larger.

Katherine, what a beauty you have there! Miltonia x Brassia is one of those really inspired crosses: Miltonias bring colour and a more prominent lip; Brassias bring the spectacularly slender star shape. Wow. It doesn't get much better!
