The picture of Red Tail with the wings in motion has wonderful spiritual energy. "Woosh"...I can hear the wings move the air in a sacred movement of energy in that photograph. It is not often a photo captures sound, but that is what that did for me. Thanks for sharing all of them.

How did I miss this before... I LOVE RAPTORS. Fantastic to share this Julie! Thank you.

I have a Cooper's Hawk nesting near my house eating many a pigeon in my yard. I posted a photo when she was immature, but I have gotten some great ones of her all grown up now. There is a great lady who lives in another part of my neighborhood who has a nesting pair of Red-Tailed Hawks living in a white pine tree next to her house. I have been watching them build their nest this week

    Very cool, Jenn!

Post some photos of the Coopers dining, and the Red-taileds nest building!

Here are some misc. of the mature Cooper's Hawk in my yard (sorry some are blurry) I'll have to get some of the Red-Tailed later, I have just been watching them so far.

Very cool! My guess is that its a 'her'. The female's tail is "well-rounded, even when folded." Moreso than the male's. But who knows.

The pigeon guts are a bit gross, but worth it just to have the hawk!

    Thanks!

Great to see those Jenn. Coopers are such great hawks, there is a pair that works my "hawk feeder" in the back, mostly getting the doves. Can't wait to see the red-tailed.
