Funny thing is, we still don't know what a javanica looks like, there is no holotype available, so we were just comparing what we "think" it should be E.javanica.
I agree with you Ron here in Malaysia I saw these species regularly in central Pahang West Malaysia, I only know one species Eria javanica endemic here by observing the nature of the leaves and growth habits with long inflorescence with similar pattern of flower, I never observed in detail maybe for the future will take close picture if I see the plant in blooms, I also got one species from Borneo with similar character with spike more than 4 feet unfortunately no bud noted.
