Neobenthamia gracilis culture

Hi! A couple of days ago I got a small neobenthamia gracilis plant and was reading about its culture. I've found diverse opinions on its culture. Some recommend it should be potted in well drained soil medium while others recommend a mix of medium size bark and perlite. I am confused. Please, forum friends, can anyone help me with this? What are your recommendations? Thanks!

I have mine growing happily in medium composted pine bark and I have seen it growing in ordinary garden potting mix. Just to complicate things, I have seen it growing at the base of a palm tree in among non orchid type plants so I assume they will grow in just about anything.
The one at the base of the palm was growing in full sun and it flowered it's head off.

I saw my friend use well drainage soil so far no problem maybe scrubber is right he can tolerate any medium, what you need to do is just to observe the condition of the plant after a few week if no sign of dehydration meaning they are very happy with your medium actually is very nice small flowers, big bunch and white pink.

Thanks! I mixed potting soil with medium bark, charcoal and leca pellets. I have a cymbidium in this mix and it is doing wonderfully. I think it will also be good for the neobenthamia. Also, I placed it in full sun during the mornings. Hope this works well for it. I'll keep you posted.

Carmen, mine finally has it's first small flower spike. It is grown in a shade house and maybe a move into full sun is coming soon.

The one I saw growing in full sun had much larger flower heads and the plant looked very happy.
