I was repotting a dendrobium (Airy Crimson) when I came across what appeared to be a separate orchid, seedling size with its own attached roots, mixed in with the roots from the main plant (a keiki that broke away when I was removing the old potting material???) - photo attached. Other than giving the roots a physan treatment all I've done is place it in a small plastic bag with a little potting media. Would love to be able to nurture this one along but I have no knowledge of what to do at this point. This had beautiful flowers this fall and I definitely wouldn't mind have a second one in my collection... photos of the flower and plant (sorry for relatively poor quality on the photo of the plant) will show why. Individual blooms were 2 1/2 inch horizontal and 2 inch vertical.
Any advice would be appreciated.
