perfect bloom for mardi gras! love these!
Love this one. This one was the first epicattleya I bought and have been hooked ever since. Definately one I never want to be without. Yours is beautiful.
I killed mine, don't know what happened. It was dead a month after I bought it from a vendor. It was an adult plant with no signs of problems whatsoever. Will get another one sometime soon. I love them.
Gosh, I have been wanting this plant for SOOOOO long...but whenever I see pics on vendor's websites, I think...nah...it can't possibly be THAT awesome looking in person with the neon colors and everything. But your pics look just as amazing as the ones I've seen on seller's websites (if not more so...love the lighting!)
How tall do these guys get? I might have to go buy one... now that I see how many people love them! That color combo is just amazing! It reminds me a bit of the '80s and early '90s when all those bright colors worn together were in fashion. People would wear green shirts with yellow sleeves and purple collars! Just like these flowers!
Now let's put some 'Prince' on the boom box and party like it's 1999....or, uh...something..![]()

Thanks Jenn,
Good question. The maximum height for this plant is listed at 18-20 inches. My plant is about 24 inches high. I have seen one that was about 30 inches tall it was a fully mature, well grown plant. I let my plant grow naturally but if you stake the stems the plant will take up very little horizontal space. Next year I hope to bloom a Epic. Painted Hill Star 'Roy's Rainbow'. The Roy's Rainbow looks like a psychedelic version of a Rene Marques!
Near perfect blooms with a lot of color in a small space. I have this orchid and in two years I have yet to see a flower. Hopefully that will change. Great going Dean. AL
I love the colors too, but the reason I have not gotten one is that I have seen them at an vendor and they were pretty tall.
great photos
Great pictures of a lovely orchid. Just love those colour combo.
