Hehee...yeah, and I totally forgot to stick my nose in it this morning, because I was so busy trying to hustle my kids out the door to get them to school. Hold on...I'm going to do a "sniff test" right now...

Oh my goodness...it DOES have a scent!! It's a difficult scent to describe, though. The best I can do is to say it smells citrusy and fresh...sort of like a mixture of lemon juice and fresh-cut grass. It's rather pleasant. I'm totally surprised by this orchid having a scent! I've heard that most phals don't, so I didn't even bother to sniff it.

I didn't realize that these sunset phals were so common. This is my first encounter with one that's so brilliantly colored. And the blooms are non-fading, so the reds, oranges, yellows, and purples last and last! Other yellow phals I've had in the past have had their colors fade after blooming, and one of them annoyed me so much by how pale it got that I actually gave it away to a friend. But this one is bright and robust as long as the flowers are open.

Gosh, I SOOOO wish it came with a tag!!!

Well, thanks for the feedback...I'm heading of to smell my orchid again.
