    Default my pleone... while it lasts!

    the heat will get this soon enough, but i'm hoping it holds on long enough to finish blooming! this is the first one ive gotten to bloom in quite a few years... maybe this one is a tough one... it is a local, but i dont think a 4th floor balcony in the city is the same as a high mountain!

    Don't see many growing these. Even the vegatative growth is rather short lived, isn't it?

    that one is in a planter box filled with shredded tree fern fiber and maybe some sphag... I usually try at least one of these every year with limited success, this year I got lucky... the p.bulbs don't ever survive the spring/ summer, thinking about bagging it and putting it in the fridge for the summer!
