Thank you Zainal. The plant is 5in tall(13cm); 4 pairs of leaves, each measuring 10in (26cm) and 1 1/2in wide (4cm). The plant looks very much like a Rhy gigantea.

it is a beauty do they grow equally slow as rhynchostylis? I hvae a couple of rhyncho's bought as young plants and hard to get to flowering size. Visited Akerne in Belgium today and they had a lot of them in flower but resisted to buy one
Bought aerides Houlletianum, and vandachostylis Thailand Somsri

I agree that Rhyncostylis are notoriously slow growing. Tried growing them from seedling size but have never grown them to flowering size. I now buy them all either blooming or near blooming size and they aren't all that expensive about US $8 -12 each. Hope your Aer and Van bloom for you soon.I bought a Aer houlletiana 2 years and it is now 1 foot tall with 3 keikis but has still not bloomed and my Aer lawrenceae is 2 ft tall but has never bloomed. However my Aer Pramote ( a houlletiana cross) blooms 3-4 times a year.

good to hear you have same experience it means its not doing me something wrong. The plants look really healthy ut it will take at least 2 years to flowering size.
The Houlletiana has 2 spikes and hope they survived transport to my greenhouse. As soon as they flower I will share some pics!
