This orchid requires an average amount of light and it should be grown in warm temperature. You should keep this plant moist and fertilized in their growing season. To grow this orchid you can use a medium like ‘fir bark’ or you can also use well-drained mix of sphagnum.

Hopefully I get a number of keikis and make a good display in a few years.

Very nice... However this is not var. huttoni. Var huttoni is a true semi-alba with a solid dark purple/pink centre in the lip..

I think you should have left more than just one old cane (the current flowering cane) per plant to support the new growths. But since you have cut it, nevermind. But you will have to feed sufficiently to get large new growths.

If your keiki roots grow longer than at least 2 inches; then just remove the small plant from the flower spike without damaging root. Then, carefully pot the keiki by keeping roots below the orchid potting mix. You should protect the plant from direct sunlight and water it regularly as you fertilize it.

what ever the variety is, it is stunning. I am still curious who named this species. anosmum means unscented. It has such a wonderful scent
