The blooms are not completely open yet, but the colour patterns are those of the Slc. Best Friend.

Slc. Best Friend is a unifoliate the pictures look like yours is a bifoliate

Cdayinflorida actually have a SLC best friend hes posted pics of on here previously try a search they look quite different imo
Yes, they do look different, but then again, mine hasn't opened the flowers completely yet. Cdayinflorida's one is an Slc best friend 'Cathy' and mine could be an Slc best friend 'Cleopatra' which is a darker pink/lavender. ---- Vendor information removed - see FAQs on Posting ----
It's not that I want to be right no matter what. I've never really cared about the ID of a plant, but I love spending hours looking if I can find one that looks like mine and give it a name. I'll give it a few more days and see if the blooms open completely or not. If by then there's no scent, then it definitely isn't an Slc best friend. Anyway, in this site I mention it reads that it is a compact grower and mine is rather a large plant, so perhaps not an Slc best friend after all.
It bloomed out wonderfully! Great looking cattleya.
cheers,

The flower isn't fully open but the color pattern does look like Slc Best Friend and the column looks similar, yours and the plants I googled are all unifolate. I would say it is a pretty good match with Slc Best Friend
